I am a wife, a mother of 3 young girls ages 7, 8 and 9 years old, a part-time police officer, owner of Hudson Valley Raw Athletics in Highland, NY and a Stronger U Nutrition Coach. As you can imagine, I live a very busy and sometimes chaotic life.
In April 2015, I casually expressed to Mike Doehla, president of Stronger U Fitness & performance, that I wanted to lose weight and needed someone to hold me accountable. I felt my eating was spiraling out of control with no direction. My pants were getting tighter–and buying the next size up was not an option for me. I was tired all the time and my performance in the gym was suffering as a result. Mike said he could help, so on April 8, 2015, I became the first official member of Stronger U. Within weeks of starting Mike’s nutrition plan, my body changed. My energy increased, and my lifts went up. Amazed by the results, I continued with the plan, and am still on it today as this is my life style not just a diet.
As women, we tend to settle for what we look like because of our age, motherhood, or simply because our body hasn’t changed in years. In performance, we sometimes hit a wall and mistakenly think we’ve reached our limit. Our hormones, emotions, cravings and busy lifestyle make progress difficult. But having a Stronger U coach to help me through those hard times is what made the difference.
This is not a diet for me, it’s a lifestyle. And as a gym owner, I can attest to the fact that you cannot out-train a bad diet. I’ve learned how important nutrition is for both body composition and performance. And to support my experience with Stronger U, I completed the NASM-FNS (Fitness Nutrition Specialist) Certification.
The experience of working one-on-one with Mike for over 2 years, as well as watching his community grow daily, caused me to jump at the chance to be on the other side–to help others reach their nutritional goals. I look forward to supporting you on your nutrition, fitness, and performance journey!
