Winnie first tried (and quickly fell in love with) barbell training in 2012. She began competing in powerlifting in 2014, and has since competed in the USA Powerlifting (USAPL) Federation at the state, regional, national, and international level. Winnie has been a strength and nutrition coach since 2016 and loves introducing others to the benefits of strength training, along with eating for weight management, health, and athletic performance.
In addition to coaching at Hudson Valley Raw Athletics, Winnie is a nutrition coach for Stronger U Nutrition. An avid cook and gardener, Winnie wrote and photographed the recipe blog Healthy Green Kitchen from 2009-2015. She has contributed recipes to numerous cookbooks and Chronicle Books published her healthy lifestyle book, One Simple Change, in 2013.
She lives in Gardiner with her husband, teen kids, and numerous rescue pets.
